Professional Background

Laura is a Senior Customer Engineer for Financial Services at Google Cloud. With over 10 years of technical experience, her specialism is in resilience and disaster recovery. As well as working with financial customers on their Cloud architecture, she also leads the resilience pillar of the Google Cloud Well Architected Framework, and recently wrote the official documentation. She also holds the role of EMEA Tech Lead for Google Women Techmakers, where she leads the technical direction for EMEA and also runs a 6 week technical public speaking training course for women. Before Google, she joined from AWS, and so understands the multi-cloud landscape.
