Professional Background
Steve has spent his whole career working in data at all levels. Most recently he spent 5 years working for Essex County Fire & Rescue Service before becoming the Strategic Data Lead for the National Fire Chiefs Council. Steve's role is advising all 52 Fire & Rescue Services in their use of data and finding ways for them to collaborate, whilst working closely with the Home Office and other government departments on how to ensure the overall sector is as efficient as possible, and that data sits at the heart of all decision making.
