Professional Background

Vic joined BT in September 2021, but this is not his first stint with the company, having worked previously for BT in the mid-2000s. In the intervening years, he built his career at companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Unilever, BP and Standard Chartered Bank. Vic has changed the way organisations think about cyber security – moving them into the security culture space with a mix of senior executive engagement and the empowerment of employees to take greater responsibility for security and the local level. His teams blend classic awareness activities with a strong focus on education, psychology, behaviours and human risk management, including social engineering resilience. His growing remit now also includes looking at cyber security talent, skills and strategic workforce planning at BT.
