Help shape the future of Tech Education****
Addressing the tech skills challenge remains a key priority for UK employers, and it is critical to ensure there is a diverse pipeline of talent with the skills industry needs.
To have a direct effect on this, please get involved in shaping UK education– by sitting on the panels which make Tech Industry Gold accreditation decisions or inputting to the learning outcomes that programmes are to deliver.Tech Industry Gold helps create the talent pipeline employers need
Tech Industry Gold is the industry accreditation for tech-related degrees, apprenticeships and training programmes. It provides formal recognition of a programme’s quality and relevance to tech and digital careers. Submissions come from universities, colleges and private training providers who want to make sure their programmes meet industry needs. People successfully completing accredited programmes have developed a blend of technology, business, project and professional skills which are highly valued by industry.Who can help?
We’re looking for line managers or tech professionals who have experience in one or more of a wide range of disciplines, such as software development, DevOps. AI, data science, cyber security, project management, business analysis, fintech or health informatics.**Your role **
You will play a crucial role in deciding which programs are awarded Tech Industry Gold accreditation and in ensuring that our accreditation criteria remain cutting-edge and relevant, delivering work ready tech talent directly into the workforce.
As an accreditation panel member, you will be briefed on the relevant accreditation criteria, which have been defined by employer groups, and on the submission under consideration. These are reviewed by Tech Industry Gold accreditation specialists who provide input to the panel on the extent to which the submission meets accreditation criteria.
At the panel meeting, you will hear from both the accreditation specialist and the learning provider, and have the opportunity to ask questions before a discussion and decision with your peers.
We are also reviewing accreditation criteria themselves. As a member of an accreditation development group, you would consider the current criteria and provide input on what changes should be made to ensure programmes continue to equip learners with the right skills in the light of changing industry needs. How to volunteer
