Spotlight: Going for Gold with UWE Bristol’s proven programmes

UWE Bristol logo

The University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) has been offering outstanding Tech Industry Gold programmes since 2006.

UWE Bristol was one of the first universities to get involved in the creation of the Tech Industry Gold (TIG) IT Management for Business degree (ITMB). UWE also later on, helped pioneer the development of the TIG Software Engineering for Business degree (SEfB). For the past years, the Department of Computer Science and Creative Technologies at UWE has been successfully delivering these two degree programmes, and more recently, also started offering the TIG degree apprenticeship.

UWE Bristol is well known for the quality of their teaching, and for their student experience as a whole. In June 2018, UWE was awarded gold status in the Government rankings for higher education providers.

The university has built close links with leading employers, such as the network of Tech Industry Gold employers through Tech Partnership Degrees, to help develop the right content for their courses and to give their students exposure to diverse professional opportunities.

Bristol, as a city, is a big pull for students and employers alike. One of the UK’s most diverse and desirable cities to study and live in, it’s also a city that’s buzzing with industry – with interesting networks, opportunities and graduate employment options.
