Who it's for
For students who want a hybrid business-and-technology career not served by a traditional business degree or a pure computer science degree. An optional year in industry is available, extending the course to four years.
Career progression
Graduates typically enter roles in data analysis, business intelligence or digital transformation, with many progressing within three to five years into senior positions such as Head of Data, AI Strategy Lead or Chief Digital Officer. The degree also provides a strong foundation for postgraduate study, including MSc programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or Technology Management, as well as MBA pathways with a digital specialisation.

Business and Intelligent Technologies BSc is a future-focused degree from Leeds University Business School that combines core business disciplines — finance, marketing, international business and strategy — with computational and AI foundations. Students learn to evaluate, apply and manage technologies like AI, digital twins, blockchain, IoT and data-driven decision systems within real organisational contexts.
The course is delivered with input from Leeds' Computing and Engineering faculties, and is working towards TechSkills accreditation, the UK's employer-led standard for tech education, giving students access to employer networking events, mentoring through the Business School's Nurturing Talent Mentor Scheme, and real-world consultancy projects.
