The University of Exeter's Department of Computer Science is one of the fastest-growing in the country, with a research community spanning artificial intelligence, data science, cyber security, machine learning, high-performance computing and evolutionary algorithms. The department maintains close relationships with major employers including the BBC, NHS Digital, JP Morgan, the Met Office, South West Water, DSTL and IBM, giving students access to real-world work experience alongside their studies. Degrees are taught on the Streatham Campus, with dedicated careers support built into the programme from year one, including employer-led mock interviews and careers fairs connecting students directly with UK recruiters. A flexible, fully online part-time MSc Computer Science is also available for career-changers building foundational skills in Python, algorithms and data science.
