    Who it's for

This programme is designed for graduates from any discipline and ex-forces personnel who want to build a substantive career in IT operations. You do not need a computer science degree or prior commercial experience in tech — what matters is a methodical mindset, a willingness to learn under pressure, and a genuine interest in how technology infrastructure actually works at scale. If you are a career changer who brings transferable skills in problem-solving, communication, or leadership and wants a credible, structured route into the industry, this programme was built with you in mind.

    Career progression

Graduates typically enter the industry as Service Desk Analysts or Junior IT Operations Analysts, with many moving into cloud infrastructure, security operations, or SRE roles within two to three years. From there, the natural progression leads to senior engineering positions, technical team leadership, or specialist tracks such as DevOps Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or Cybersecurity — all of which are well-served by the L6 TechOps credential and the practical foundations this programme builds.

    Overview

    About this programme

IT operations sits at the engine room of every organisation that depends on technology — which, today, means all of them. This L6 TechOps programme is an intensive 12-week journey designed to take motivated learners from a standing start to deployment-ready consultant, with the depth and rigour that employers in fast-moving IT environments actually demand.

The curriculum spans the full operational stack: IT service management frameworks, cloud platform fundamentals, enterprise networking, and security operations. Coaching is delivered by experienced practitioners who bring real incident response, SRE principles, and production-scale thinking into every session. You will spend significant time in hands-on labs — configuring environments, responding to simulated incidents, and working through the kind of ambiguous, high-pressure scenarios that define the day-to-day of a working TechOps professional.

This programme has been specifically designed to welcome graduates and ex-forces personnel transitioning into the technology sector. The structured pathway with professional mentoring gives graduates and career changers a credible, supported route into roles that would otherwise require years of informal experience to access.
